About the Bride | Karrie

Hello there! So a little about me… I am the oldest of 6 children, I was born in Omaha, Nebraska to my parents Paul & Katie Pettit. I was raised in Jacksonville, Florida & attended Florida State University in Tallahassee where I graduated with a degree in Advertising & Marketing. After college I lived in Orlando until I fulfilled a long time dream of moving to the Big Apple.  It was there, where  one fateful evening I met Chris while he was on vacation visiting a mutual friend. After 9 months of dating long distance I moved back to Florida (Tampa to be exact)  to be with Chris. Since moving back, we have started a very successful web marketing company together as well as several other e-commerce businesses.

I am a free spirit. I believe in love at first sight (and we are proof of that). I enjoy the beach, traveling, dancing, spending time with my family & friends and just living life to the fullest.  I feel extremely lucky for the blessings in my life – especially Chris.

I have so many wonderful memories with Chris  however my favorite memory with Chris is the day he proposed – it was the most perfect moment ever.

About the Groom | Chris

Hi! I am 1 of 4 children, I was born in Columbus, Ohio to Richard & Linda Mueller. I was raised in Long Beach, Missisppi & also attended Florida State University. I graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management which lead to the opening of my smoothie shop, Xtreme Juice in Tampa. In July of 2006 I went on vacation to NYC with some friends and met Karrie. After dating long distance I convinced her to move back to Florida.  Fast forward to 2009 – on the  last minute of the last day in 2009 I asked Karrie to marry me on the beach in Honolulu and lucky me she said YES!

My favorite memory with Karrie (other than our engagement) would have to be all the times we spend at the beach together.  Other than our web marketing company we own many websites that “sell stuff” and most of my inspiration comes while we are together on the beach or playing in the waves.  We are hoping in the near future to make the beach part of our daily lives sooner rather than later.  Anyone that knows Karrie and I well knows that we’re pretty sporadic and live in the moment, so who knows what the future holds for us.  The last 4 years have been a whirlwind of excitement and the best part has been sharing it with my best friend Karrie Lynn.

The Night we MetHow We Met – July 14, 2006 | New York City | Asia De Cuba – From Karrie’s Perspective

I got a call from my friend Beau who said some of his frat brothers were in town and that we should meet them out for a drink. So we meet up at Asia De Cuba – a trendy bar/restaurant right up the road from where I was. My girlfriend Laurene and I take up a cab and as soon as I got out of the cab my attention is drawn to  this gorgeous man standing next to Beau – I immediately blush and smile. He smiles back.We introduce ourselves and just begin chatting it up. The group ends up sitting next to the upstairs bar at a table – however there were less seats than people so Chris offers to share his seat with me. Of course I oblige. He offers to buy me a cocktail – a peach Bellini – which came with a flower.  He took the flower from my drink and said I would look pretty with it in my hair – I of course melt – and the flirting continues. We sit back down but now I am on his lap since the chair is so small. We talk and talk for hours and all I can recall is talking to him.. We exchange numbers and get back together the next day and the day after that until he had to leave on Sunday. When he left I tell my girlfriends and my mother that I had met my future husband! The rest is history….

SIDE NOTE: The picture above is from  our first 15 minutes of meeting. :)
